Rear Surround Placement

We are moving and the layout of the new place is not the best.
I can't mount my rear surrounds inline with the seating position. They have to be either 3' behind us on a side wall (A) or 10' behind us on a rear wall (B).
The problem is, at position A, they will only fit if I mounted them horizontally. There is a wall of windows there and there is not enough room to mount them vertically.

It's not likely that we can change the seating arrangement because of the location of a fireplace.

I am not sure how the dipoles would sound if mounted horizontally. My gut is it may not be too bad but I wonder if when my Denon 3805 does it's calibration if it can compensate for the speakers being 10" back in position B.

What do you folks think?
TIA

Your 3805 should be able to compensate just fine. My Sony receiver, for instance, allows for each speaker to be a different distance away from the listener.
