Question Rear speakers quit working

Not sure if this is the best place to post this, if not feel free to move it.

I have a set of logitech x-530 5.1 speakers running on onboard sound, Asus tuf z370 Plus gaming motherboard which uses realtek audio. For a while now, the 2 rear speakers will quit working. Normally I could get them working by reinstalling the drivers but now can't get that to work either. And when I did get them working, they would only work for a short period of time.

In the audio settings, I have it set to 5.1. Also when I run the speaker test, sound will come out of the rear speakers, just no sound when playing a movie, music or whatever.

I had similar issues with Logitech speakers. The socket in the woofer was the culprit for me.

Same here .. I think mine are the Z5300s, but both of my rears failed years ago. Plugging them into the front outputs, the speakers work fine, but the rear ports on the sub have gone bad.
