Rear sound and mic not working on n650sli-ds4

Can anyone help me solve the problem of getting my mic to work constantly when on so i can do karaoke. AND have my rear sound working. When i use the sound tool with the buzzing bee only my front channel sound works. This is using coax.

It shouldn't work. This board does not have a dolby encoder, so when you use more than 1 audio source mixed to the output you get stereo and nothing else.

But music coming straight out of the computer should be coming out from 6 speakers though right? that's why they would have the sound test with the bee going around the guy's head?

If the audio player that you are using supports the output... IE: TheaterTek with a DTS DVD. The analog outs are the only way you're going to get multichannel output from anything else.

So recap: Digital outputs give you stereo audio from any source, multi-channel from any source that's ALREADY dolby/DTS encoded and your receiver understands. Analog outs give you multichannel from nearly anything.
