Realtek ALC850 5.1 digital output?

Does this audio chipset support digital 5.1 output? The mobo has digital coaxial and optical outputs, so if it has the 5.1 ability, I would like to use it. My speakers only recognize the signal as Prologic instead of real "Digital"
