You can enable Dolby Digital Live 5.1 on the gigabyte ep45-ud3p (realtek hd 889a codec), is this the same thing as back when soundstorm was around from the nForce 2 days? I never had a change to experience it myself, so I'm wondering.
Its also the same thing as the auzentek prelude right and HD Omega etc cards, right?
I though I'd check it out, I honestly think it sounds quite a bit better than my audigy 2 zs.
The only thing I'm really missing out is EAX 2.x+ right?
Speakers are in my sig, going through optical.
Edit, wow, optical sounds so much better than my analog from my audigy 2. Its missing the added base I used to have just by general speaker settings, but you can really notice the highs, much more detail in my .flac files!
