I'm considering to purchase Realtek 8139B NIC + ABIT KT7 (non RAID)..
I've heard that Realtek NIC has problem working with via chipset mobo..
Is this true?

I have a Realtek 8029(AS) in my computer that an ISP give it to me and have no problem with. Just put it in OS detected and install drivers automatically. Don't see any problems with that.

AHA!! I've been wondering about that too. I bought 3 NIC's for our office based on the RTL8139 (a and b versions) and tried to plug them into several of our puters to upgrade from 10bT to 10/100. I had problems with the super socket 7 mobos based on the via chipset. I had no problem, however, installing the NIC on a newer MSI 6330 mobo w/a via chipset. Anyone else know something more definite?

Try the reference drivers from realtek...don't know that it will definitely help in your instance, but it's been known to solve many problems.
