Hi.
So, I learned two of my drivers needed updating, one being my Realtech audio. So, I updated.

And now, I have new thingy, Realtech Audio Mgr in taskbar.

Why do I need this? The testing was cute, I like testing.....but what good is this thing?

Depending the hardware capabilities of your motherboard, you might be able to use this program to reassign the input/output plugs. Such as if you wanted to have multiple sets of headphones connected by have only a single default headphone jack. Otherwise, I'm not sure of any benefits.

Good response! It just seems more configurable than sound in Windows, is all....and, unless I plan to get more than one head, I can't imagine using two mic headsets at the same time.():)

Why the updated driver brought this little thingy, I think, is kinda lame.

Thank U!

It's outdated since Windows has it's own audio manager.

I just mentioned that, below (no, above). But the new driver brought it anyhow, it was bundled. And, I will say, it is more configurable than W7 sound.

Thing is, I don need more configurable.

Let me see if I can get rid of it.

Thanks!
PS, Yes, there is is in newly installed apps in Revo Uninstaller. I just want the updated driver, not its little, uninvited friend.:|

OMG!!!!!!! Among the environment choices: a PADDED CELL....and a PARKING LOT! Forget....a SEWER PIPE!

I am not kidding! Whoever wrote this, has a sense of humor...whimsy! Nobody at MS could ever have written this. Evah.():) If anyone did, they would have been shot immediately.:whiste:

Delving, seeing all the not in Windows options....I just, unexpectedly decided to keep it. I set settings, and it does make a difference in playback!!!! It's about enhanced options I did not, at first, realize it affords!

It may all be gratuitous.....but, in the infinite options...I now kinda like it.

I should have said "anything worth doing in the Realtek application can be done through the standard Windows audio configuration application"
Choosing the number of speakers you have, their range, and the test tones are all that are really needed.

While I essentially agree, as of right now, I am playin with these options I have discovered. Very possible I will tire of that and just get rid of the thing.

But I also set the equalizer in the now technically defunct Winamp to my personal liking. I am fussy about my music.

Remember, "worth doing" is highly subjective!!!!():)

Not as if I lost my mind and bought BEATS headphones, right?:whiste:
