Every time I opened RealOne Media Player, it would add a cookie to my Temporary Internet files even though I specifically said not to do so. The cooke would be from real.com. I believe I found the file you can edit to stop this.

It can be found here:
C:\Documents and Settings\User Name\Application Data\Real\RealOne Player

The file is called:
cookies.txt

Basically, if you said no to cookies in the player preferences, I assume your text file looks like mine. All of the Cookie preferences are set to FALSE except one, dealing with real.com. The TRUE can be changed the FALSE. It says it is a generated file and not to edit it, but I haven't seen any problems with the player or with Internet Explorer since I have changed the file. You can still get the real.com cookie by visiting the site, but it doesn't appear by just using the player.
