I have an ATI X1950pro and an Asus M2N-sli deluxe motherboard and the DVI does not work but the VGA works fine.. No display on the DVI, in windows it says no devices attached when I try to DUAL it on the DVI.

So I took the ATI X1950pro out and hooked it up to an ATI A8R-MX board and the DVI and VGA works fine.

Both were hooked up to the same monitor..

So does that mean, my M2N-sli deluxe motherboard is defective? Never seen a mobo restricting DVI out.

Open CCC and check if "Reduce DVI frequency on high-resolution displays" and "Alternative DVI operational mode" are enabled

Make sure your refesh rate is set to 60Hz

I went through this very thing this weekend, it was the refresh rate

CCC is the ATI driver control panel & I think he means connect your moniter via the analog port & check the settings that way.

So when you say your trying to different mobos, you're actually trying two different systems, correct?

Check your monitor menu, scroll through and see if it is receiving a Digital signal, if not, make sure you have power to the PCI-E connector at your Video Card, and that your Video card is fully seated.
