im planning on dual booting xp and vista.
ive read the howto's and im fairly confident i know what im doing.

im gonna use P.magic to create a partition of approx 20 gigs and install the vista while in xp.

my question is: do i need to install the programs i want running with vista, on the same partition? in which case id need a partition thats much bigger then 20 gigs, no?

if not then i can install them on my default (aka c) partition? and vista could run them no problem?

thanks lol.

Not necessarily; most programs will let you install them in any partition you choose.

I do believe 20GB is too small a partition for Vista though; I'd go with at least 30.
