Really stupid guy in my class

It's just really weird. He doesn't stay quiet in class and keeps on talking with a lot of people even if they dont want him to. Hence, he doesn't have many friends (but he thinks otherwise). He tried talking to me a few times, but he is so stupid that he doesnt understand I dont want to talk to him. Since he is usually doing most of the talking , I try to be polite and say "yeah" or some 3 word response. But he doesnt go away. I kinda feel sorry for him. I guess that's part of his personality? From what I can remember, in general one's personality changes slightly over the course of a lifetime. I don't know, I guess it'd just suck to be him
