Really strange problem with XP - HELP!!!

I recently reinstalled XP, but didn't delete the old documents and settings folder. Now, there's a user folder that I can't access sitting in there (the one that has the data for my old admin account from previous installation.) When I try to get into it or delete it, I get an access denied error, even when I'm logged in as an admin. Is there a way to get rid of that folder?

Make sure you know the exact name and directory of the folder. If formated FAT32, boot your box with a DOS disk and try deleting it.

no, it's NTFS. that's the userdata folder for the admin account left over from the previous XP installation.

Perfectly normal and expected.

This was another user's documents folder. No one has access to that folder but the now-nonexistent user.

Log in as an admin, take ownership, give yourself permissions, delete the folder.
