Hello Everyone!
Well, I just bought an Opteron 170 and am now typing to you using it!!!
I am so excited right now!!
Anyway, I have been reading about drivers/hotfixes/optimizations after installing the new processor and was wondering if these things are still happening afterwards?
These two websites (Website 1, Website 2) explain that after loading the driver I need the Microsoft Dual Core Hotfix to run everything properly.
Note, these were way back in the day with Windows SP2 and I have upgraded to SP3. Do I still need a hotfix to run things properly?
I know formatting will be the best, but for now, I just want to make sure it runs correctly.
