Really short IDE cable?

Anybody know where to find one? About 6" would be ideal, but anything 12" or less would help.

You can always alter an existing cable. Just pry apart the connector and then clamp it back down after shortening the cable.

Thnks for the offers guys, but I stopped by a local shop this a.m. and found one in their dollar-box!

I've seen them for sale at various places online. 10" is the shortest, and that's for a single drive ATA133 rounded cable. I used to mod my own 40 wire cables the way jschuk mentioned, but haven't had luck with 80 wire cables. I read somewhere that there was supposed to be ratios in the measurements (for 2 drive cables) plus the ends have to be done certain ways (so cable select works, also why middle is always slave). Don't remember where and don't remember the details... but I do know that I tried making some short single-drive 80 wire cables and none of them worked. On POST the motherboard would complain about the cable not being 80 wire. Moot point since ergeorge found the cable he needs
