Why does a gas expand more than a liquid, and a liquid expand more than a solid?
Does it have to do with the solid crystalline structure requiring more heat to make the molecules vibrate faster and expand because the solid has to use some of the heat energy to break down the bonds holding it in the crystalline structure?
