Really quick and dumb Valentine's question...

do you buy the flowers on v-day? or do you buy them ahead of time.... like if i wait until tomorrow will they be sold out and/or really expensive?

ah i see cool... how do i store them? can i leave them in my trunk (it's cold in my area so they will be nearly refridgerated...)?

My wife's got delivered today. They'll still be good tomorrow.

Edit: Delivered to her today. Just adds another day to her enjoyment.

I just came back from ordering them.... will be picking them up tomorrow morning (since they'll be more fresh). I made the mistake of buying them last minute last year (just before I went to surprise her). Not many to choose from... wasn't an issue of being more expensive (I just spent the same amount) ... just whether they'll have any left.

Sure, nice idea. 🙂 Make sure they don't get "bent" the wrong way in there.

Don't buy flowers. THat's so lame. Do something original. Flower shops usualy jack their prices about 3 - 4 times the normal price on Valentine's day and the day or 2 before.

I think girls pretty much expect flowers though.

Which makes it all the much better if you make flowers look like child's play. 😉

other aspects of our relationship are unique enough that i'm not concerned with doing things for the sake of originality, and the money is not a huge deal to me

Plus despite how cliche it may be, some girls just really like getting flowers. Most of them in fact. It's also pretty cliche that men should enjoy a good steak but that doesn't make it any less appealing if somebody offers to buy me one. 😀

Grow them yourself so they are always fresh 😀 😛

my husband just brought me flowers home tonight. He picked them up at the local florist on his way home from work. 🙂 and they are so beautiful, plus they came wrapped with a stuffed bear and some candies.

I don't. Flowers are so cliche.
My ex-bf told me when we started dating "Don't ever expect flowers for your bday, Valentine's day or anniversary. I am going to buy you flowers just because I want to."

I'd say pass on the flowers and buy something a little more original.

I see how well that worked out. 😉

Also, I'm sure there are a few exceptions, but I can't think of any girl I know that wouldn't want flowers. How about getting flowers and buy something a little more original.
