Really hot BP6 mobo

My system temp sensor has been at around 175F for the last 3 or 4 weeks. I don't know what it was before since I didn't start watching it until it started setting off the alarm, but it's been ok for about a year. I looked inside and noticed some brown stuff on the ends of some of the capacitors... looks kinda like they leaked it or something. today the temp went up to 215F so I got a fan and set it blowing into to the case and now it's back down to around 160.

I'm assuming that this is bad, but how bad is it?

Wow!!! This sounds really bad. I have never heard of temperatures going this high, even for cpu's. I'm suprised your motherboard hasn't died on you yet.

there is something wrong inside your case.
touch the heatsink on the bx chipset.

make sure the cpu heatsink is placed correctly. make sure the fan inside the ps is working, and try reversing it so it blows out of the case instead of in. this makes a huge difference.

There are three temp sensors on this board... the two cpu sensors never got above 130 and now they are at around 100.

I touched the bx heatsink and it is cool.

The ps fan is blowing out of the case already...

I guess what I'm really concerned about is the stuff on those capacitors.
Am I going to have to buy a new board?
