It usually starts with the innocent , " well, a backup PC is a pretty good idea", that turns into a new show called....

Computer Hoarders, the A&E show that documents the struggles of people who cannot say no to a needless computer upgrade or multiple computers and the roads they take to recovery.....

I had 7 working desktops less than a year ago...managed to get myself down to just 3 again, but struggling to resist building more just to tinker with new hardware.

Dr. Phil is interested in most of you sickos coming on the show. it's a new illness called OCN, Obsessive Compulsive Nerdmania.

There are sub categories as well. For example, if you are an overly friendly female with OCN, then you have OCNN, or Obsessive Compulsive Nympho-Nerdmania. I never met a gal with OCNN, though I would like to.....

Crap now I'm screwed.
Can't decide whether to pick up a cheapo 1155 board or a z77.
If I were to buy a cheapo 1155 board, I could move my i3-2100\htpc over to that and then plug the 2700K into the Asrock Z68\USB3 board my htpc uses.
That would be the sensible route but that Z68 board is a little light on the phase design so I don't see a lot of heavy overclocking in it's future.
This route would also be the biggest hassle since I'd have to migrate a lot of stuff.

If I order a new z77 board, I save myself a lot of time and energy and I'll get a board with the features I want (eSata is a requirement)

Option one
Get Cheapo board.
Unistall everuthing from Cheapo htpc case
Move I3-2100 over
Reinstall new mobo and I3 into cheapo htpc case
Migrate everything (office\xbmc\need new OS license)

Move Asrock board+i7-2700k over to Rosewill Challenger U3 case
Install everything from scratch

Option 2
Get new z77
Drop in to Challenger case
Play

Not thinking option 1 is going to be worth the $80 saved

first world problems are a bitch.
