I jsut went out and bought a HDMI to DVI cable. My video card had an DVI slot and my tv a HDMI, to my knowledge I thought I could transfer the video form my PC to my TV. I mean the plugs both fit and all. Anyway I can do this? Please let me know homies.

You got the input set to "PC" or "HDMI" on your tv? Keep in mind, the dvi to hdmi wont carry audio...

Not sure if you realize, but you're simply treating your TV as a second monitor, which means you have to go through the steps of setting up a second monitor (which can be a PITA at times). I've never used DVI/HTMI to do it (only S-video and VGA), but I assume it works quite the same way.
First, go to your desktop, right click and hit properties (or display settings or whatever), and hit settings. Make sure you've set up your monitors the way you want. I'm not sure what the default is, but it could be cloning your current monitor (which means it wants to display the same thing on both screens). This would cause a problem if your monitor had a higher resolution than your TV, because the TV can't match your current screen and instead blanks out. The best way is to just set it as a secondary monitor and drag whatever you want to do over to that screen.
Make sure you've enabled the second monitor.

This isn't accurate. I used the following config for my living room PC connected via DVI to HDMI adapter to HDMI in on the TV:
9800GTX+
DVI to HDMI adapter
SPDIF audio passthru cable from onboard sound to SPDIF input on 9800GTX+
Standard HDMI cable to HDMI in on TV.
Enabled SPDIF out in the onboard audio application.
Tuned TV to HDMI (1) as I used HDMI input 1 on the TV.
Watched X-men and listened to sound coming from TV speakers. Indicating audio pass-thru via HDMI.

It does though. If you have an ATi/nvidia card that does sound processing on board (ATi) or spdif passthrough (nvidia) you can pass it through the DVI->HDMI adapter.

What's inaccurate about Keys' setup?
If you have the right components, audio will pass through just fine over the DVI port.

Who has the time to go through this trouble to get audio out of the... TV speakers? Seriously. Just hook it up to your A/V receiver and be done with it.

Really doesn't take much time. DVI to HDMI adapter. 5 seconds. SPDIF cable. Time it takes to remove case cover and install cable. 30 seconds?
HDMI cable, 10 seconds. Boot up and enable SPDIF through your audio app.
Set TV to the correct HDMI port you plugged it into.
Seriously it took me under a minute to do all this. Probably took more time to type this post. LOL.
