Not only that, it even supports C2 and C3 stepping CPUs. So, he's good to go either way. Or at least he should be.

Arkaign: never underestimate Dalaran's ability to lag computers. At least Wintergrasp isn't the lagfest it once was . . . well, usually.

if you're gonna upgrade your processor, you might wanna also look at the athlon ii chips. they're phenom ii's with no l3 cache, but the quad cores are about $100, which is notably cheaper than the phenom ii x4's while delivering similar performance. i have an athlon ii x3 435 and it's a very nice chip.

According to Phil1977's link, your board supports both Phenom II X4 955 and 965.

Look carefully at the listing, it specifically says NA for the 955 and 965. The legend at the top says that NA = not supported. The NA is in the location where the minimum bios revision to support the processor is normally listed. For example, the F15D bios is specified for the 945, but the 955/965 just say NA.

Now it makes sense to me that it *should* work, given that it apparently can already run a 125w or 95w PhII X4, and the only difference in my mind would merely be a different multiplier, but who knows. Maybe they just didn't write the microcode support into the F15D bios. Sometimes you can still run a processor but it will show as 'unknown' at POST.
