I have some old junk mobos lying around and I want to bend one. Cutting and resoldering the hundreds of traces does not appeal to me (even on 2-layer boards ;)) is it possible to heat the plastic enough to soften the plastic? without breaking traces?

thanks :)

I really don't want to know what you're doing right now, but whatever you make out of those, send us a picture :). Now since when you bend or heat the plastic it kinda stretches so you make sure that traces also stretch at the same rate so they wont break, but i'm no mobo expert. Anyways why not give one of those mobo's a go and toarch the hell out of it :)

it looks like there are very few lines that could possibly be used to bend along... you obviosly can't bend anywehere under something solid. My K7V has more possible lines, but I'd rather not risk killing it ;)
