When you create a Counter Strike server, its your.ip.here:27015 right?

I wanted to game with one of my coworkers, and I'll be damned if I can figure out why we can't connect. I've tried everything. :(

I thought so. I got my IP from winipcfg. Nothing. He created a server and got his IP, I tried his ip:27015, and nothing. I can't connect. Its like its not there. I had other people try, and no one can connect.

This is pissin me off.... arghhhh

Make sure you're not using an internal IP, or that don't have a firewall that's blockin connections. Also, FYI you don't need to add 27015 after the IP because it's default and it assumes that that is the port.

make sure your firewall isn't screwing it up.

Before you ask, I don't remember what ports CS servers use (other than 27015, they might open a few others), so just disable it completely for a few minutes.

enable DMZ on your firewall. If it works, remember to turn it back on after you are done playing.

Not 100% sure here, but I think that the server uses a different port. Maybe 27010 if I remember correctly.
