That took a while...

Very sad. I guess it's a good thing he didn't kill him. They might have found the diary and found motive. He might be in jail now if he had killed him.

It makes me think back to my childhood... but I can't remember any molesters or attempts.

Well, he was just arrested...

Now THAT is FVCKED UP!!!

Why? He admitted to stalking a guy with intent to kill him...

I hope the guy doesn't actually go to jail. Wouldn't that be some messed up justice? He goes to jail for stalking and considering murder, later changes his mind, gets arrested, goes to jail, and can't bring charges against the rapist because the SOL (interest abbrv.) is up.

well he won't be sentenced. NO judge would want the negitive resutls he would get.

I'm suprised they have yet to drop the charges.

Oh, I agree 100%

The cop (or sergeant) that decided to arrest him needs to have be given some butt love himself. :|

You'd be surprised at how many child molesters there are. A family friend tried to do it to my brother and I, but somehow he never was able to. He did become a school teacher and molest some little kids, but they later "dropped" the charges. I'm pretty sure he paid them off and/or their parents didn't want them to have to suffer through a trial. I made a thread on this a few years ago on AT, but never responded to it after it was archived. He's actually in jail/being monitored now because he hit and beat his wife because she filed for divorce. He's not the only one either that I knew about or had odd feelings that the person might be one. There are more out there than anyone knows.

Damn, just as I finished the story I thought all the drama ended, but then the link about him being arrested..wow. Perhaps the most dramatic thread ever.

And that was a damned amazing story. Was almost about to ask for Cliff's notes, but glad I didn't.

man, what I drama queen.

I can sympathize, but, like, move on with your life.

Are you kidding me? Events like this can fvck up a guys entire life, not just this specific guy, it's the first thing a psychoanalyst looks for. Unfortunately it's all too common. Alot of sick, twisted pervs out there.

They must arrest him just to make the point that it's illegal to stalk, regardless of the motive. To show people that vigilante justice is wrong. Perhaps they'll even take it to trial, but I really doubt he would be sentenced. I think it's just something that have to do to make a statement, I doubt any of the arresting officers or prosecuters want him in prison, I would imagine they're just using him to make a point, and then they'll release him.

I heard this guy tell his story a few weeks ago on a morning talk show on my way to work. He didnt mention his rapist name because he wants people to know that this guy could be living right next door to them and not even know it.
