I'm an idiot... was cleaning the bathroom using clorox 'wipes' (no bleach in them though..) and was tossing them in the toilet... flushed when there were three in there (which isn't very much 'material'... I use more TP than that..) after flushing maybe 6-7 (two flushes) it clogged.

I've plunged and plunged and plunged.. other drains in the house aren't clogged, and tried flushing the other toilets while flushing to help 'pull' the clog through.

WTF should I do?

/me eyes the drano that says "not for use in toilets" on bottle.. I guess because of it splashing or something?

::::::::::::::::::::EDIT::::::::::::::::::::::::

my house is connected to a sewer system, not a septic tank.

I'm thinking about using my wet/dry vac to suck the clog out..... think that'll work?

Else I'll buy a toilet snake tomorrow

::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::EDIT 2::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

ok I've tried the pouring hot water from head-high method. No go. Next is a coat hanger wrapped in duct tape (so it doesn't scratch the bowl). If that fails I'm taking the toilet off the floor tomorrow. gotta remember to buy a new wax ring first. bleh.

:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::EDIT 3::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

Got fed up, and decided I would go buy a wax seal tomorrow and remove the freaking toilet sun afternoon. Was looking at some toilet forum or something and someone mentioned pouring a bunch of dishsoap down a drain that is 'almost' completely clogged. I tried that, then poured a bucket of HOT tap water (head-high) and the clog is GONE! YES! now to replace the alarm on my bike... 2 way alarm and it stopped talking to the remote.... whoo now I WANT to do that! awesome.

if you put draino in there and it doesn't clear out the drain you then have a very toxic substance sitting in your toilet. plus a toilet you would have to use a whole lot more than normal

you know you are not supposed to flush those wipes, even if it does not clog its bad for your septic system (assuming you have one)

you should not use drano for the same reason, IIRC it can kill the good bacteria in your septic system, or city plant I guess...I am not sure what i read though so that could be completely wrong, but I remember hearing not to use liquid pumbler stuff for your toliet. I am going to google why.

i remember when i was younger i flushed a potato down the drain, and my dad had to use a snake to drill it down. brown bits would come off the potato and he kept freaking out cuz it looked like crap, i never told him it was a potato either.

I really think it's because of it splashing, and that the plumber will be pissed when he's gotta deal w/ a toilet full of drano

I know I know... I completely wasn't thinking when I flushed those damn things.

Get a 5 gallon bucket, fill it with water, pour it into the toilet, let the water force the clog through with the pressure.

if i wait awhile the water level goes down; then if i flush it it will fill to 'almost' overflowing and still won't get rid of the clog

You're not getting what Adica is saying.

You don't flush the toilet. Let it drain down to a very low level. Then pour a big bucket of water from about waist level or higher into the toilet. The pressure from the water will help push the clog through. But do not flush the toilet.
