The computer with this mobo (K9A2 Platinum) has Phenom 9550 BE, 4GB Corsair mem, ASUS ATI 4850 and a Corsair 550W PSU.
The BIOS boot screen and Windows boot are really slow too. But the real problem is that once in Windows (XP 32), the system works ok for a few moments, and then completely stops/freezes for a few secs 5-10s or so, and then works fine for a few moments, like 15-30secs, and then stops for 5-10secs, and it goes on like that. Really annoying glitch.
If you use firefox or play a modern 3D game, it stops/works/stops the same way.The sound goes in a loop too, mostly.
Any ideas? I re-installed this mobo after a Giga MA970X-DS4 failed due to some component failure (you had to switch it on and on like many times before it started, it kept turning itself off at first, sometimes 5 times, the 30, etc, finally it gave up completely).
I'm ready to toss with K9A2 too, I have swapped out GFX card, mem and HDD over the course of time and trails with this cursed computer.
Any similar experiences would be nice to hear about.
