Really annoying Audigy problem

Hi guys, I really need your help.

I just got my Audigy and it was working great till today. I don't know why, but since I ran my 3Dmark 2001 benchmark on my system, my sound has been REALLY messed up. When I play MP3s, it sounds abit like the sound of those little "vaccuum" thingies they use at the dentist's ! (When they suck out the saliva/blood). The same goes for my ICQ sounds... you can still here the original sound too, but not very much. I checked and double checked, no ENV effects are in use, I tried reinstalling/updateing drivers and different sound settings... nothing works...

ANy help would be appreciated and 1 000 000$ (in monopoly money) to the person who finds the answer to my problem !!! 😀

If you have digital speakers, make sure your connection is secure; also check that your digital sampling rate is not 96kHz output if you have digital speakers.

oops... forgot to actually type in my message before replying... LOL 😱

Anyways, what I meant to say is that I get the same problem with the line in and digital in.... and before I had no problem when the sampling rate waws at 96 Khz... anyways, I'm at work right now, I'll check it out when I get home but I doubt it'll help...

Thanks for the input though...

Now I'm REALLY confused... I just got back home and suddenly, my sound is fine... 😱

Oh well... I'm happy now... and I'm still at 96Khz in case you're wondering...
