ok, going to frys REALLY soon, and i need to know what two cheap 120mm fans i should get. 1 for intake and 1 for exhaust.

Depends wheter you want silence or performance. If silence, dont buy a thermaltake fan, they lie on there noise ratings.

Silence=db rating anything below 25db should be pretty darn quiet
CFM=about 35-45 for quiet fans is good

silence = 0db
quiet = db rating anything below 25db should be pretty darn quiet

yate loons spin at 1350 rpm, nexus's spin at 1000rpm... therefore the yate loon moves more air, and nexus's are more quiet

Okay... this recommendation is if you're shopping at Fry's Electronics... 😉

I'm not sure if they carry them in-store, but Silverstone FM121 fans are great! They ain't cheap, but you won't be sorry!

If they don't have those, get Antec TriCool 120s. They're hard to beat -- especially if you like LEDs!

And, if they're out of those, or whatever, go with the Vantec Stealth. I know a lot of ppl hate Vantec, and they're butt fugly, but they hold up pretty good, and will do you in a pinch...

ok well apparently frys has the shittiest selection ever, so if anyone wants to recommend WEBSITES with cheap fans I'd appreciate it. each antect tricool costed 20 bucks...no way im paying that.

Well, if you're looking for crappy fans online, NexFan sells 12cm Yate Loons for, like, four bones... 😉

Hi,

Just get the cheapest 120mm fans you can - about $1.30 each - and adjust the voltage to get the right compromise between airflow and noise.

1) Is nexfan reliable?

2)What fans does the Antec P160 use? The back has little rubber plugs and the front is mounted, ive got no idea what yate loon to buy. thanks
