Well, that's auxiliary and it can be installed afterward. I think the original was outfitted in the passenger compartment, so we'll figure out a place for it later. With, or without a flux capacitor?
Isn't it a mid-engine car? If so........ not many.

srsly, bro. It was all the coke clogging the cylinders, reducing performance. It had a 2.8-liter V6 generating 130bhp, which is crap for the engine capacity.

Hmm... could have sworn we had a forum for this kind of stuff.![]()

I would hazard a guess that you could improve the power substantially, whilst retaining a physically similar sized engine. Maybe use turbo- or super-chargers.

The Engine generated 170HP, but adding a catalytic converter sucked 40HP out. European versions don't have the catalytic and will do a quarter mile in about 8.5-8.8 seconds. That's not bad at all for the body being made of stainless freakin steel.
Even then, the 130HP version will still do a quarter in 10 seconds. That's not terrible.
There's a twin turbo edition, but it's ridiculously rare.
IIRC, about 5 years ago there was a company selling them for $30k after replacing the crummy 140hp (110 w/ catalytic) engine with a nice 200+ DOHC. Would be nice to have one of those, but getting in and out in parking lots might be a PITA.

Bahahah, how? With rocket boosters? I think you have the 0-60 times mixed up with quarter mile times. ~10 second quarter mile is Veyron speed, and that thing has 1000hp.
Quarter mile times for a Delorean are probably lurking in the 17-18 second range.
You have to remember that in 1979 when that engine was designed 130HP from a 2.8L V6 was respectable, 5 and 6 liter V8s were making only slightly more at the time.
The engine put out 170HP, not 130. It's the same engine in Europe that was sold here.
