Real world NF4 ultra vs. NF4 benefits?

I don't update my system all that often, as 99.9% of what I do is simple 2D stuff- I'm still running an A7N8X deluxe board from about 4 years back.

That said, I've been reading all week and can't seem to find the acutal benefits from say Abit KN8 to KN8 ultra.

I see the NV firewall is different, but everybody says not to use it.
And I see that one is SATAI and the other SATAII, but everything I've read says that SATAII is marketing and nothing uses up the thruput of SATAI.

Is there something else...or am I just reading bad info...or???

No you are right, there is virtually no real, usable difference.
SATA300 allows higher burst rate for transfers but continuous transfer will be very similar.
