Real simple XP question.

Does XP use NTFS or FAT 32, or do you get a choice like in Win2K

you can use fat32, ntfs, or efs with xp

XP Home Ed will use NTFS exclusively. XP Pro will let you choose.

Ok, now what is efs ? and is it better than NTFS

efs is encrypted file system.. i havent read much about it and dont have many details.. but I did read that it would be an option

um, EFS is a part of NTFS. It's not really a file system by itself. Don't worry about it.

I've heard nothing of Home not being able to use FAT32. In fact, I'd imagine it'd be quite the opposite.
