Should I get a new one for $129 shipped UPS 2day or a used one for $114 shipped Fed-ex 2 day???

The new one is from buy.com- think I'll get one that can play back ups? I've heard that there are some that can't!

HELP!

I have both shopping carts all done- I just need to click "Purchase!"

hmm.... buy the retail.
isn't there a coupon from amazon that might get it down to 110?
not too sure.
personally, 10 bucks is too little of a difference to make me want to buy a used set.
i mean, new is always better if it is not too expensive for me.
as for backup... my friend bought his like more than a year ago, and he has been playing CDRs since then so i dun think that is a problem.

There are some people saying that the newer DCs can't play back ups-- think I should "risk it" and get the new one or save $15 and be assured the ability to play CDRs?

ah i did not realise that. sorry, just saw the other thread. :)

i guess you can always buy retail, try to back up, succeed and keep it, OR fail and RETURN it :p

i mean keep the receipt and there's always 30 day money back guarantee right?

I bought the used one- it's $15 less and it is going to definately play back ups. Plus, the store is in state so 2day shipping is really 2day shipping! :D

If what you mean by "the new one" is the one with the newer box, I have that one and it plays backups fine.

I didn't know that there was a new box. But I've heard that some of the newly manufactured ones don't allow you to play CDRs.

I ordered the used one...it's guaranteed to work and it has a 90 day warranty so I can't go wrong with it. :)
