Real quick -- how to check fps in Quake 3?

I finally got sick of counter-strike and bought Q3. Anyway, how did you do timedemos to check fps with various settings? Thanks alot guys!

bring down ur console (~ is default to bring it down)

type timedemo 1 <enter>
then demo demo001 <enter>

make sure ur running 1.17, demos dont work with 1.25. if u have 1.25, u have to make ur own demos first and replace demo001 with whatever u name ur demo.

Also, if you wish to see a real-time update of your FPS in the top right corner of the screen, bring up the console and type:

\cg_drawfps 1 (return)
