Real Player security flaw

rh71

No Lifer
Bashers and non-users of RealNetworks' products can leave now.

This is a warning to those who do use it or have it installed for whatever reason:

RealNetworks' media player software contains vulnerabilities
that could let an attacker take control of a PC on which the
software is used to download multimedia files, the company
confirmed this week. IDG News Service, 02/06/04.

Realplayer sucks.
PS Sorry rh71, it sucks
I don't disagree. I have it installed for a reason, not because I like it. :disgust:

Posting this was meant to help people out, not have people make unnecessary comments for no reason other than to put it down. WTF is the point of that ?

By us making unnessisary comments, we effectively keep bumping it, which in the end helps your goal, since the thread is more visable.

Sonova ... Real Player sucks for the night crowd then.

Yah, I use RealAlternative too and it works ok for playing all the .rm and .ram media.
You don't need to install real player this way.
