i could possibly be wrong but the drops just dont seem to follow the rules of gravity in the picture, check the one nearest the branching point, it looks a little too sharp an angle compared to the others....

also the background seems a little too incoherent, im sure a branch like that would have other foliage nearby it, close enough so that even tho out of focus would still be more obvious that its there, rather than just that fairly uniform blurred background.....
again i could be wrong on these counts, but figured i'd give a reason for my choice....lol

I agree, also, I don't think the drops of water would stay seperate that close together.

I have seen one of this in Vietnam. It's very cool. And it walks slow too.

Another plant that I don't see in the US is... I forgot what it's called. When you touch it the leaves react and closes itself. Vietnamese called it "shy plant". Any vibration and the plant would close it leaves right infront of your eyes. Very fast moving action for a plant.

I say rendered.
The water drops would probably pull together, and the shiney stuff on top of the branch looks a bit odd to me...

and yes it is rendered, sorry people :)

there are a few things off with this one, all pointed out so far

the depth of field seems off
the water dropplets should have more spacing between them
the shiny parts on the branch, the first thing I noticed as being odd
the lack of anything but a blurry background

The shiny parts on the branch were also the first thing I noticed because they just looked unnatural.

I think the biggest problem with the shiny parts is that the excessive shadow, meaning that the bump map level is turned waaay too high, along with the color is shiny, not gray like its supposed to be.. I think, supposed to be moss I think
