Real or Rendered? (the truth has been posted)

after looking at this a few more times i'm going to change to rendered...everything looks too smooth...no machine marks where the metal would have been cut or anything

Looks real to me, the scratches don't look too perfect like they might if it was rendered. Plus you can see how the focus changes on the ground in the background, most rendered images don't look like they were taking with a camera, this picture does.

I'm guessing rendered, because there is not the slightest hint of a camera in any of the reflections.

im guessing rendered. if you look in the bottom right, the reflection on that piece of metal suddenly and completely stops. it doesnt look natural.

No they dont...there are slight differences...I think is real....but well...I have seen so many "real" things that I dont know what to think these days :S

if it was real, would he ask us? i think i'm going to go with Rendered, but also because i've seen something similar to this, and i just thought: WOW!

Doubleplusrendered. The loop on the bottom right corner that is curving up looks quite manipulated (jaggies at its end, plus the texture seems a bit... off).

majority of anandtech was right, this is an actual photograph and not a rendered image :)

good hint is not to look at the metal itself but look at the surface it sits on
