Real or fake

check the movie on the top of this page and say what do you think...
There's a whole disscussion going on there afterwards. Imho, the plane crash itself might be real, but the explossion afterwards is a fake. No way the smoke built up so fast (after the camera dropped for a second).

when the camera drops, there is a cut... he stops taping (presumably for long enough for the smoke to build up, so that therory is bunk,

but I still think it's fake..

1. The plane looks CG during takeoff

2. The guy filming would be a little more panicked, at very least the camera would start shaking a little, or he would have said something like. "Oh Sh1t" right when it was about to hit....

3. He was way to calm when he finnally did talk

4. no sirens in the distance, or even flashing emergency lights, why wouldn't the dude at least try to go get help???

Uh maybe the camera man dropped to the ground, and then turned the camera back on,20 seconds later??

Looks like if there was a person inside the plane,flying it;
they are dead.

If a remote control plane,still a bummer.

When a plane goes down like that, it burns for a long time. (Remember how long the trade centers smoked, fueled by jet fuel?) I think there was a LONG gap between the two shots, allowing enough time for him to stop screaming and realize that he had a camera.

What good are the emergency crews? Nobody would survive that.

Nice catch... Though it still looks odd to me the way the camera dropped.
Notice, the camera didn't actually stop as some of you claimed... The picture moves to the ground and then moves back up in a 'single' motion. That contradicts the theory that the cameraman got shocked, stopped filming, and then 'remembered' he has a camera and continued filming...

Its real.

Heres the airplane.

I'm not sure why so many assume they know how a person should react when they see an event like that. I know people that have seen plane crashes...its surreal more than anything.

I wish I had a video of a crash my buddy saw...it was very similar to that but with a 172. The guy's seat slid back on the takeoff roll, the guy instinctively grabbed the yoke, the airplane shot up, stalled, rolled over, and landed in a bunch of parked airplanes. My friend Jeff shut his 172 off, grabbed the extinguisher and ran over to help. He stayed completely calm and organized. Guy wound up living.

The argument about smoke not building up so fast...well sure it does...somethings burning right? Especially jet fuel.
