CNN

I bet Anna Nicole's story outlasts Libby's guilty verdict, and she's dead!

Sad era for us...

Your opinion?

News has been broken ever since they tried to sensationalize it, and it got political, I wish I could just get the facts from the news but no everything is highlighted and twisted.

I'm not sure if it's ironic, but this is old news. :p

I suppose it could be called ironic that CNN is running a news story about how there are too many news stories about pretty white girls.

It really is shocking that to this day, i can still flip through the channels at any time of the day, and I will see Anna Nichole Smith's face on the news.

It's just sad that no one cared about her enough to plaster her on the news until she was dead.

How about Anna Nicole dying in Iraq while shaving Britney's head?

Real news has been dead for decades. Americans don't care about the world or even national events, they want infotainment. Take a guess at how many people you think know the current players on american idol and ask the rest to tell you something very basic about say the middle east. Why does israel scuffle with lebanon? Whats up with india and pakistan? Name a major sect of islam. People want entertainment tonight, not real news.

iraq is sh*t, the middle east is sh*t, politicians are sh*t, reading yet another article on the minutia of sh*t going on isn't going to do anything besides depress you further. theres a good reason people turn to fluff, and i don't blame them. obsessing over the minutia of daily politics is important to those in the media, which is why they scream so much about it, but its really not that important to everyone else.

There's the problem. If you wanna boost f*cking ratings....don't do news.

If you want news that isn't so influenced by ratings, watch PBS. ;)

I remember being kind of glad Princess Dianne died, not because I wanted her to be dead or anything...but because I was so tired of hearing about her all the time. Little did I know that death would simply result in me hearing roughly 20 times as much about her.
