Real life cannonball run

I was at this guy's house a couple of nights ago and he had an mpeg file (50 megs or so, about 5 minutes long) of these people racing across the country in tricked out rice burners and motorcycles being chased by cops and what not. He said it was a clip of a real life cannonball run video that is coming out soon.

Anyway, I've searched the net trying to find the mpeg file and more info on this event, but haven't had any luck. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

Yeah I've seen it before, too, but I don't think it was called the cannonball run. I'll see if I can find it.

I'd like to see how far they got. Radio is around 400,000 ft per second and Helocopters run around 200mph.
Not a good idea if you like your freedom.

the cool part is most of these people in gumball 3000 are so rich they don't care about the tickets...that's part of the amusement

There actually was a Cannonball Run way back in 1971, but I don't believe there are any videos of it.

gumball 3000 RULES, some get pulled over others just book, the cop pulls them over they sit in jail for the night pay the bail and peel out of the parking lot back into the race, it goes from NYC to cali i believe. it's just awesome stuff. in 10-20 years look to see me doing it in a viper.
