EXTREMELY underrated! word on the street is his new album is gonna be an instant classic, same for cormega. that means we'll have had 3 5/5 albums this year! (Common being the first)

I'm more looking forward to Nas' new album - Rebel to Amerika (??). I know it's not going to be Nasdaq- Dow Jones anymore.

yep. some good releases coming soon. really want that del also. but yeah, that 'tribute to lisa bonet' album with murs (living legends!!) and slug (atmopshere) is good stuff. ive been listening to a lot of justus league lately, especially the little brother and foreign exchange. and the big pooh album. so i definetly cant wait for 'the minstrel show' later this year. 9th is just a producing beast with his fruity loops and cool edit pro (or is he usin' adobe audition now? ;) ). that metal fingers and ghostface collabo should be interesting also.

The rest are posers.

Yeah, they were pioneers, but people like Nas, Rakim, and Canibus took it to a WHOLE NEW GAME lyrically.

Just compare the lyrics of Paid in Full / Illmatic to Public Enemy's... They stepped their game WAY up.

public enemy is a part of real hiphop, but it has evolved and gotten much more organic, and descriptive of life. oyu can see things in your head when u listen to cats like AZ etc...
