Instead of speeding up the video and making things look fast and hiding any slowdowns, he should have left it at regular speed. He didn't speed up the gaming portion. Nothing to hide there.

I have messed with a friends note 2 and I can tell your first hand there is zero slow downs and I don't think the kid ever even cleared its ram or rebooted it.

He came from an iphone 4s and this is his first android and he loves it.

This is using the stock cyanogen built rom from Samsung, just look how far this platform has come.

Just because Steve works for Samsung doing software development doesn't mean he's building OSes, nor does it mean the Nature UX-based Samsung roms are "cyanogen built". This is nonsense. :colbert:

He's actually a software engineer for Samsung and if you have used a touchwiz ROM after they hired him you can see and feel the similarities to cyanogen based ROMs.

The stock gs3 ROM will blow the doors off of any aokp or aosp based ROM it literally scores almost a full 1000 more quadrant points then any after market ROM.

The added support for USB flash drives and hard drives is straight from him and the new nexus doesn't even support it.

The notifications and pretty much the whole feel of the stock ROM has cyanogen all over it.

I used a moto razr m for a few days while I waited for a new gs3 to come in and the stock RAZR m onjelly felt choppy and laggy and did not run nearly as smooth as a stock touchwiz gs3.

The sad part is the gs3 will out bench even a pure cyanogen mod ROM so don't try to come in here and tell us cyanogen has nothing to do with the new touchwiz ROMs.

I gotta love these grkM3 posts. The arguments kind of remind me of the time when a buddy of mine got an engineer to design his website.

So will this phone be 6 months behind the most current version of Android as well? If they ever can figure out how to fix that, I'm in on Samsung.

Coming from someone that has no clue who Steve is and what he has done for the android platform.

I'll put money that you had no idea who he was and have never ran any of his ROMs made from scratch aosp source right off the Google servers.

Is your device even rooted yet? I'm pretty sure cyanogen can build a ROM better then any other themed android ROM out there...ohhh wait he already has and still is by far the best dev for the android platform

The note 2 is on 4.1.2 can you name any other phone that is on that other than a nexus?

I guess you still don't understand why I made my previous point. This just reinforces that fact.

Nope. Did that with my Nexus 7 and found it to be a geek waste of time.

And it continues. Thanks for proving my point as usual.

You really should do your research before making these bizarre proclamations. You've shown in many other threads you don't know what you are talking about. Hell, you didn't even know what CPU your beloved Galaxy S III was running. If you just did a brief search on Google (whose OS you seem to love so much), you'd have a few facts to make your arguments look better. Anyways, my Android phone, which is neither a Samsung nor Google-branded, is on 4.1.2 and like I said above it's the stock ROM.

I think Note 2 is a nice device overall but the title "review" is seriously misleading since the dude was involved in its development by many accounts. One simply doesn't become one's own judge.

Nice advertisement, though.

I know exactly what my gs3 is using bud and my resp once was to the kid saying the note 2 will take 6 months to get rt he latest update from Google.

What cell do you have that is on official 4.1.2 and is not a nexus branded phone? Just curious because I think the note 2 is the only one taking advantage of running more then one app at a time.

Not quite there yet with the whole "the phone is now your PC" but nonetheless that is impressive.

Now you do, after we corrected you multiple times in the other thread.

What cell do you have that is on official 4.1.2 and is not a nexus branded phone?
Like I said, Google is your friend. There are several non-Samsung non-Google-branded phones that have 4.1.2 now. Mine's a Canadian RAZR HD, but in fact, in the US some Motorola phones have been on 4.1.2 since last year. And here are some Sony phones with 4.1.2.

Big edit I was on my way out the door to work.I meant 4.2.1!!

And eug when I got my gs3 there was no play or pro s4s and the naming came well after once new cells came out using the s4.

You are missing the point that I'm trying to make.the note 2 has the latest android os and asked him what other phones other than nexus branded devices have it.

I'm pretty sure no other cell is on 4.2.1 yet but I could be wrong

The Note II does not have native 4.2 yet.

The latest official OS for the Note II is 4.1.2.
4.2.1 is a custom ROM.

When I briefly contemplated the Note II I saw these vids. I gotta say the production value is terrific. Most gadget reviewers are lifeless and/or nerdy. This has some style. Samsung should hire this guy.

I think the Note II has been a game-changer in the sense that you will see countless direct competitors this year.

What does this thread have to do with BlackBerry? How can you possibly justify this thread title other than your innate desire to incite anger in people?
