Real Genius DVD - June 11th - Box Art

I thought some of you guys might be interested in this. I remember seeing a thread not that long ago asking about the Real Genius DVD.

It will contain both the Anamorphic Widescreen & Full Frame Version on a single disc.

The audio is Dolby Surround, NOT Dolby Digital 5.1 but that shouldn't matter too much with this movie.

As far as extras go, the only thing that will be on the DVD is the theatrical trailer.

With it being so old, I'd be they can't get the 5.1 sound and probably don't have any extras "saved"...

One of my two favorites FINALLY made it to DVD! Thumbs down to no extras though, couldn't they at least have come up with a Laslo Holyfeld steam tunnel adventure game??

Now if they would only release Better Off Dead on DVD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just got my notice from Amazon the other day that this was going to be available. According to them it will be June 11 release date. I don't know why they changed the cover art though. I liked the original with the "I love toxic waste" t-shirt and the alien antenna headband better. In fact, I was trying to find a scaled-down poster of it (not the usual 36" poster.)

Definitely gonna add this one to the collection. The 5.1 won't matter for this movie, but it will kinda suck as more older moves are brought to DVD without it. "A Bridge Too Far" woulda been cool in 5.1, but alas it was not.

Also, that new box art sucks.

Totally kewl. I've been waiting for this since DVD's first came out. I normally won't pay more than $10 for a dvd, but in this case it'll be a first day buy regardless of price.
