Real Estate...

Orsorum

Lifer
I've been thinking about different investments lately, and the thought came to mind... exactly what does it take to get into real estate? i.e. how much capital, time, red tape to wade through, etc? Does anyone have any ideas or general tips as to where to look or whom to talk to?

You're a bit late though, a lot of the money that left stocks went into real estate (and bonds). The Seattle Times business section had an article a day or two ago where Alan Greenspan was warning that the market could be cooling off soon (it's probably on their website and somewhere on CNN as well).

And ironically, the 30-year benchmark went below 6% today. Unless, mortgage rates start creeping back up, I don't see how their would be a cooling effect.

I'm not necessarily market timing, but it's an option I've been mulling over. Any other thoughts? I'll check out that Seattle Times article, thanks, Dave.
