Real Audio/Video Ripper

Is there a program that will rip (save to hardrive) real audio or video?

I know that couple of years ago, "X-File Get" and "Streambox Ripper" used to do the job.

So if anybody out there has knowlege of such software that will do the job then give me a reply.
