I had a bunch of real audio files that I wanted to encode to mp3's using streambox ripped..
I was sorta confused over what bitrate(kbps),sampling rate(khz) and stuff to use.. obviously it depends on the quality of the original real audio file.. since encoding to higher than original quality won't really help me much..
anyway. i was wondering what guidelines to use for converting.. say for eg..
1) Real audio , mono ,22khz, 20.7Kbps
2) Real audio , mono ,16khz, 16Kbps
3) Real audio , stereo ,8khz, 20Kbps
etc...
any guidance as to what specs to use while encoding would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You
