Reagan making a speech about the waste of government programs. In the list, he includes a $2 million yacht, dress suits for greek undertakers, extra wives for Kenyan government officials, and 1000 tv sets for a place that has no electricity.

This speech was made in 1964. Obama was born in 1961. Did the US government pay for Obama's dad to come to the US, where he subsequently met Stanley Dunham and had a child with her? Was Obama himself the result of a government program? That may explain a lot! Such as why he is so in favor of big government programs today! :sneaky:

Why is Reagan not capable of pronouncing gov-ern-ment consistantly in the same speech?

How much smaller was gubmint in 1989 then in 1981?

Reagan stated after his presidency that the biggest mistake of his career was trusting the Democrat-controlled congress when they promised to reduce spending.

Like that one year, when his budget that he submitted was actually higher in spending than the budget submitted by congress? Why do conservatives constantly re-write Reagan?

It's a good thing Reagan was asleep while his people were out dealing drugs and arming terrorists, otherwise we might have to hold him responsible for that.

Was that an example of effective or ineffective leadership?

Just like Obama was asleep when his people were out there arming drug dealers in Mexico ... but we certainly won't hold him responsible for that.

Oh so because he is black he automatically endorses illicit drug use?

Or is it just because he hasn't legalized the illicit drugs so the USA nightlife can stop funding drug wars in mexico?

when you don't want to accept the responsibility for your actions, pawn the blame off to someone else.

He had already learned that little strategy with Olie North during his presidency, didn't he?

He wasn't asleep. He just "didn't recall."

...or maybe he was one of those that just slept with his eyes open, so everyone thought he was awake when going over the details of who to buy weapons from, where to ship them, and who to sell them to?
