Readyhosting...GRRRR!

Does anyone else use these guys for hosting? I am having so many problems, that I am actually losing clients because of their complete ineptitude as a web host.

We have been a client for over 2 years and have always had slight issues, but nothing major. But late last week, they had a major email meltdown which is giving us nightmares now. Almost all of their mail servers were down for 4 days, and when they were brought back up, none of the existing mailboxes were restored. This may not be a big deal to some of our clients, but we have at least 2 which use their webmail exclusively. All of their previous emails were stored and they don't use an offline program to download the emails. There were some very critical business documents that are now in email heaven for all we know.

Repeated calls to customer service have been met with some very rude techies that obviously couldn't give a crap about what's going on. They have been reluctant to give us answers and act like we are bothering them when we call.

Now we are getting emails that our clients are about to drop us because of this fiasco. This has been an absolute nightmare and I wanted to share our problems so nobody else gets suckered by these guys. We are in the process of pulling about 15 sites from these guys and will not look back. So be warned, stay away from Readyhosting.

Anyone have a suggestion where we can host a number of ASP and .NET sites on a reseller account that doesn't suck?

Grrr!

I've been happy with HostPC. The only signifigant outage was when the Baton Rouge datacenter went down. HostPC did everything they could to get it back up.

Jodohost is who we are really considering moving to, but to be honest I haven't really heard of them and we're a little gun shy after this.

How many clients do you have? Would it be feasable to consider a low-end dedicated server instead of a reseller account?

RossMAN, how can I contact you?

PM AgaBoogaBoo with your email address, GoogleTalk or phone number and he'll pass it on to me.

I was about to quote you to say you haven't been keeping up.. he changed his name... but dammit, I just checked and he changed it back 😛
