Readyboost vs. just setting your swap file to flash memory?

Just wondering, considering going back to XP and readyboost is the one feature I'm going to miss.. Would setting my flash drive to be the primary page file drive in XP be pretty much the same thing?

Let Windows handle SuperFetch. You just plug the drive in.

It would be nowhere near the same thing, and a very bad idea.
