Ready boost works with a usb flash drive up to 4 GB. The drive when set to ReadyBoost feeds cached information to your RAM that would otherwise not be so quickly available. I noticed the difference when moving among applications when I enabled ReadtBoost with a 256 MB flash drive. Moving to a 1 GB 'ReadyBoost' designed turbo drive tomorrow. ReadyBoost is one of the more pleasant surprises of my VISTA install so far. There are many articles out there including this one.
