Ready to overclock my AMD 3500+ Winchester

I have owned my sytem for almost 1 year now. I recently tried oc'ing my Leadtek 6600gt and it went very well. I got a huge performance boost. It is currently running stable 24/7 at 582/1220.
I now want to oc my cpu and need some help. Where do I start first?

System specs:

AMD 3500+ Winchester
1mb Corsair pc3200 Valueram
Leadtek 6600gt (oc 582/1220)
OCZ Powestream 520W ps
Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe mb

stock it runs @ 2.2 and you can probably oc it to 2.7 without any trouble. yes you will notice a big performance increase in some things.

You have to go waaaay back to 1 year ago. Winchesters were still on the shelves and Venice was just starting to ship.

With a Winchester the limit is prolly 2500-2600...but still a good increase 🙂
Read the guides carefully...what is your cooling?
My recommendation for a first lucky shot would be:
Go to BIOS:
Set memory to "DDR333"
Set HT Multiplier to 4x
Set CPU somewhere between 240-250MHz, 1.5Volts
Try...
