Yes, you do get Doom 3 with the card, but the 6800GT does not offer the best performance in Doom 3. Note, I'm not saying it's crap, it's just that subsequent versions of 6800, coupled with the latest drivers, offer better performance for a longer time. And DO NOT OVERCLOCK THE 6800! John Carrmack, creator of Doom, has pointed out that visual quality will deteriorate for reasons unknown to me. But that is your choice.

i wouldn't consider the free game any rate limiting step, a 6800gt is gonna perform well under any circumstances now-a-days. another option is you might wanna go w/ a 6600gt and save the cash, whats the rest of your computer like? if you don't have a gig of memory you can put the extra dough towards that or a faster processor

free doom3 isn't much to be excited about, but the eVGA is sweet.
have you checked eBay? :) thats where I got my eVGA 6800GT.
